A Women in Rock gig is a treat for the eyes and the ears, with a pair of female vocalists taking the lead out front, and a band comprising some of the UK’s most respected musicians providing the powerhouse of sound to back them up.

With an extensive repertoire of great female-led rock songs, Women in Rock draws upon the talents of four vocalists, choosing two for each performance that will give the audience a gig to remember!

Sara Louise

Sultry Sara Louise originates from Melbourne, Australia but now resides in London.

Sara has over 10 years professional performance and singing experience which has taken her all over the world including UAE, Asia, Australia, North America and Germany.

She has performed with Phil X, Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Kool & The Gang, Frank Stallone and Harold Allen and also appeared in shows for Bon Jovi, The Rolling Stones and the Asian Film Awards.

Not only a fantastic Mezzo-Soprano singer, but also a talented songwriter and actress who has had main roles in several musicals.

Emily J Clark

​Emily’s gained international performing experience in various bands, groups and as a solo vocal artist, bringing her great success. In 2006 she played lead in “Vampires Rock” earning praise for her powerful and energetic vocals alongside legendary artistes Eddie Ojeda from 80s rock band Twisted Sister and punk queen Toyah Wilcox.

In 2007 Emily also toured UK Theatres with the National Orchestra of Great Britain in “Bat the Symphony”. She has also managed her own acts, “Stupid Girl” – performing the classics of rock diva Pink, and “An Evening Of Soul And Motown” – a tribute to Amy Winehouse.

In 2010 she toured China as a freelance artiste – belting out vocals for an EDM duo at China’s biggest indoor festival, Electric Circus. She also danced her way through favourites Rocky Horror and Cabaret.

Back to the UK Emily is ready to rock it out with Women In rock.

Victoria Jones

Victoria Jones

Victoria was born into a musically inspired family in Liverpool. Singing and dancing worldwide, she made a real name for herself in France, recording songs for Disney, presenting, dancing and singing in shows at Disneyland Paris and featuring in TV show Star Academy.

Victoria toured with country music band The Rodeo Girls., starred in the BBC TV show The One And Only, and was voted official No.1 tribute to Kylie Minogue after touring worldwide singing as Kylie on cruise ships, in casinos and hotels.

In 2014 Victoria was delighted to host the European Cheerleading Championships and perform the opening and closing ceremonies. She continues to work as a presenter for the UKCA.

In 2014 Victoria was seen unleashing her wild side and thrilling UK audiences with the cult rock theatre show “Vampires Rock”.

During 2017 she expects to release her own album “Raised Lady”.

Victoria is delighted to join Women In Rock and cannot wait to perform her favourite classic, female rock anthems!

Alex Ward

Alex Ward
Lead Guitar

Alex began to learn Guitar at the age of 13 and studied at the prestigious Leeds College of Music graduating with First Class Honours and with the coveted award for Outstanding Performance. He was tutored by a number of highly regarded guitarists including Chris Webb (ex-Biomechanical) and Bobby Harrison (Cliff Richard, Brit Floyd, We Will Rock You).

Alex has played numerous shows across the world in various outfits including the tribute act ‘A Foreigners Journey’, as well as video demoing products for the high-end amp company ‘Matrix Amplification’.

Alex has earned praise from well-known musicians such as Marty Friedman (Megadeth) and Todd La Torre/Parker Lundgren (Queensrÿche), as well as working with Alex Forryan (Tony Hadley), Marc Rapson (Kim Wilde) and Dave Evans (Billy Bragg).

Alex prides himself on re-creating the tones and lead work found on many classic tracks with precision and is applying this skill within Women In Rock.

Alex uses: Fender, Ernie Ball Musicman, Gibson, Fractal Audio, Matrix Amplification, Line 6, Mission Engineering, Elixir Strings.

Steve Clay

Bass Guitar

After picking up the guitar at the age of 8, he went through the motions of learning several instruments, and found he was naturally leaning towards the Bass Guitar.

Steve’s influences range from Level 42, It Bites and Allan Holdsworth to Pestilence, Cynic and Obscura. his musical tastes are equally wide ranging from world music through to metal!

Steve has toured with several other tribute bands supporting acts such as Go West and Alexander O’Neal and has also worked in the studio as a session musician.

He jumped at the opportunity to apply his great energy, enthusiasm and focus to Women In Rock. From the first rehearsal, he was able to visualise how amazing this band could be!

Jamie Brooks

Jamie Brooks

Jamie Brooks from Coventry, who now lives in Cambridge, is a respected pianist, keyboard player and composer/arranger.Classically trained from the age of five, Jamie developed an interest in rock, jazz, funk and pop in his teens and started playing in local bands.

Following A levels centred on classical music, he went to Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge and studied a combined BA degree in Music and Creative Music Technology followed by an MA in Music Performance.Jamie has toured and recorded with numerous bands in styles from ska, through rock and blues, to disco and funk including The Soul Patrol and the London-based prog/metal/fusion band Linear Sphere.

He has also toured with “The Enid” founders, Francis Lickerish and William Gilmour on the Secret Green project and Ed Rome and the Connectors.

Jamie composed the score for an independent short film – A Fistful ‘O Fishfingers – as well as playing piano in successful productions of West End Story, Cats, Les Misérables, Fame and Anything Goes.

During 2010, Brooks recorded extensively with Drum and bass producer DJ Peshey and performed live concerts with progressive rock/metal band Aeon Zen as well as taking the role of Music Director for Fame.

Mick Neaves

Mick Neaves

Dynamic Sticks-man, Mick Neaves from Sussex, will need no introduction for many as his drumming career has seen him manning the engine room with Monterey, Glamsters Flairz and UK AOR Band Moritz.

A diehard Heart fan, Mick is also known as “The Rock” by many fellow musicians and fans.

When he is not performing drum duties for Women In Rock, he is kept busy with session and function band work.
